What is Dan Baumbach’s Middle Name Photographer

As an artist I need to get my name out. I need for people to know who I am and what I do. This is not something that comes naturally to me. I used to be very happy to be anonymous.

I once had a software company that sold software over the internet; and before the internet through an 800 number, email and a bulletin board. I had an employee who would answer the phone and take orders so I could be left alone to work on my software. If ever anyone wanted to talk to me, I was conveniently out of the office. I even had a made-up name that I would do tech support with.

Now all that is different. I want people to know all about Dan Baumbach. Dan Baumbach is a great photographer and that they should buy his photos, hence this blog, Facebook and everything else.

In spite of my trying to “be somebody,” I’m still amazed that to some people I might actually be somebody. Everyday I check the stats of this blog to see how many people have looked at it. It’s never very many, but when it goes up I do get excited.

More interesting is how they came to find this blog and what they were searching for. The fact that someone would take the time to search for me gives me a kick. Who are these people? Did they find what they were looking for? Why do they never contact me directly? I’m a nice person.

WordPress sometimes gives me the text that was used in the search, hence the title of this blog. Why would someone want to know my middle name? I entered the above search text for myself and I saw a lot of links, but nothing seeming to point to my middle name, which is by the way, Paul.

Perhaps I should mention the photo that introduces this post. This is a new direction that I’m excitedly following. I’ll write about it in another post.
